Overall, the porcelain looks good for its age with a glossy finish, and the cast iron is nearly corrosion free. It was difficult to get pictures of the true color. It is what could be called a light antique white (off white). This color gives it a warm, vintage appearance. From a normal distance the sink looks nearly free of scratches or chips, but as always we are giving the detailed, up close top to bottom description. The top, back edge where it meets the wall is lacking the chips normally found. It is excellent all the way across. The narrow, horizontal top is very good, save for a 0.06" chip in the center and a larger, 0.7" one on the right corner. There is a small hairline stress crack on the right side of the backsplash, otherwise it looks fine with virtually no scratches present. The horizontal area where the faucet is to be mounted has a small (0.07") chip on the right, and some rust around two of the faucet holes. These areas were (and will be) hidden from view by the faucet handles. The horizontal surface running along the sides and front of the bowl looks fine overall, but there are a few light blemishes. Aside from some normal, light scratches, there is a shallow 0.2" chip near the left corner, a couple (0.06", 0.04") at the front of the bowl, and a 0.12" one on the right side near the edge. The drainboard is free of any dings and has light, faint scratches. It looks very good overall. All four sides of the bowl are fine, save for a 0.08" chip on the right, top edge. The rest is very good. The bottom of the bowl is very good for the age. There are six shallow chips in the 0.04" to 0.08" (AKA very small) range at the bottom, and some tiny marks that are built into the sink. The left vertical outside of the sink is very good. There are some light scrapes at the bottom, near the back, and the rest is good. The front has a couple faint corrosion spots, near the bottom, otherwise this section is very good from the top to bottom edges. The right side (the side that has the majority of the blemishes) has light scratches near the top edge and small corrosion speckles near the bottom. The back side and bottom were painted when we received this piece, but we removed just about all of it to show the very nice condition of the cast iron. There is no damage and very little rust to be found. less
