This circa 1890 campaign desk is inlaid mahogany with satinwood shell decorations. The interior is the original leather. It was bought in London in 1996 and has been in storage since then.
It was purchased from Judy Fox Antiques on the Portobello Road. It is 24 inches when opened to full length and was meant to be carried during battles for use as an interim desk which was portable and easily accessible. less
