Crafted with 18 karat white gold the, the halo design is smartly accented by 79 round brilliant diamonds, weighing 2.50 carats total. Having been hailed as emerald by day and ruby by night, the central 4 carat gemstone has a strong, noticeable color shift from green to purplish as indicated in the GIA Gemological Institute of America Laboratory Report. Among the rarest gems in the world, originally discovered in eastern Europe nearly 200 years ago and named after Princess Alexandra.
