Large nine-light applique from the early 19th century in silvered wood made with the joining of poplar boards shaped in the shape of a large double-handled vase with handles that connect to the base with a continuous play of scrolls.
On the perimeter of this panel there are nine iron arms with a turned plate and tip for the candle. The finish is in two-tone silver: oxidized and dark in the central part and mecca in the perimeter parts. In the central part, scratched in chalk, we find an auspicious symbol, a vine branch with a bunch of grapes.
In good condition with minimal damage to the silver leaf. The back of the applique shows minimal defects, as per photographic details. The electrical system according to European standards is functional. It comes from the furnishings of a private villa in Milan.
The back features a hook in the central part for hanging this imposing nine-light Italian wall lamp.
Northern Italy, early 1800s. The side handles are probably later.
