Originally designed to store “tabac râpé” (a finely ground snuff tobacco), this striking jar showcases Royal Tichelaar Makkum’s hallmark Delft patterns, featuring intricately hand-painted blue motifs and delicate ornamentation. Adorned with the official Royal Tichelaar Makkum mark, this piece is a testament to the Dutch brand’s legacy as the Netherlands’ oldest ceramics company, founded in 1572.

The tobacco jar has been expertly transformed into a table lamp complemented by a custom-made pleated lampshade, crafted from a vintage Indian silk sari.
