Description: This is a lovely vintage burr walnut chessboard with velvet lined drawers and vintage large sized staunton chess set a … more This is a lovely vintage burr walnut chessboard with velvet lined drawers and vintage large sized staunton chess set a very good looking well made and decorative suite, burr walnut is my absolute favorite timber, it has a grain and patina to die for, i just love it, this is the only one of these boards i have seen in walnut, it really adds a sense of class and occasion to the game! the condition is fantastic for the age, the suite has been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish board dimensions height:- 8cm width:- 40cm depth:- 40cm square size:- 4cm king dimensions height:- 8.5cm width:- 3.2cm depth:- 3.2cm pawn dimensions height:- 5.5cm width:- 2.4cm depth:- 2.4cm this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
