ARTIST
Herbert List (Hamburg, 7 October 1903 – Munich, 4 April 1975) was a German photographer, contributor to the international photographic agency Magnum Photos since 1951. He was famous on the one hand for his contributions to fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Life, and on the other for his male nudes, which set a precedent. His austere and classic compositions, in black and white, especially those of male nudes, shot in Italy and Greece, have had a highly formative role in modern photography. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
