Louis XVI Genoese chandelier in gilded wood and crystals from the end of the 1700s Otto Luci dates back to the end of the 1700s and is in a good state of conservation compatible with the dating.
This chandelier is made with a central stem in carved wood, sculpted with plant motifs and gilded in fine gold; this central support, composed of several elements, is decorated with hand-wrought iron elements, connected by a multitude of transparent crystal festoons surmounted by crystal flowers with embossed and gilded brass corolla, an original detail which, together with the splendid gilding, underlines the taste and timeless elegance of this salon chandelier, from the end of the 18th century.
The eight arms that branch off from the lower wooden element are made of curved and gilded iron, ending with bobeiges in gilded iron, given that the chandelier was originally lit with candles. Works with eight E14 bulbs. The height shown includes only the chandelier with the wide top hook. Then there is a chain and a ceiling cup measuring approximately 40 cm further.
It comes from a private Milanese family, it is in a good state of conservation, with a functioning electrical system and with signs of wear in the wooden elements and minimal deficiencies compatible with the eighteenth-century dating.
