Magnificent period piece of furniture circa 1750, typical of the Liège style, in carved solid oak, ideal for lovers of antique furniture and collector's items. Dimensions: height 200 cm, width 120 cm, depth 55 cm. The display cabinet is composed of two parts: an upper section with glass doors and crossbars, perfect for displaying art objects, and a lower section with solid doors carved with floral motifs and baroque scrolls.
Adorned with hand carvings on the panels, uprights and moldings, it features a finely worked frieze on the upper band. The original brass fittings, including hinges and locks, are present and functional. The short, curved legs, typical of Liège furniture, ensure optimum stability, while simple moldings frame the base. This piece of furniture is in excellent condition for its age. The natural patina of the oak enhances its authenticity, and the glass of the doors, original, presents small imperfections that add to the historical charm of the piece. The piece of furniture, carefully maintained, does not present any structural damage, except for some light traces of wear, normal for a piece of furniture of this period. A
rare and authentic piece, representative of the Liège know-how of the 18th century, not to be missed. less
