This … more Exclusive submerged glass aquarium vase from the 1960s, attributable to renowned designer Flavio Poli for the renowned Seguso glassworks. This fine example of Murano art is distinguished by its extraordinary workmanship: clear glass encloses within it a cast of intense cobalt blue, which seems to flow in a fluid and harmonious movement. Further embellishing the work is a submerged green glass fish enriched with small air bubbles that give it a natural and dynamic effect. The balance between the purity of form, the quality of the submerged technique, and the decorative details make this vase a must-have collector's item, capable of enhancing any setting, whether classic or modern. The vase is in excellent condition, free of scratches or significant signs of wear, evidence of the care with which it has been preserved. Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was one of the most important protagonists of 20th century Italian design. After training in drawing and decoration, he began his collaboration with the Seguso Vetri d'Arte Glassworks in 1934, where he became art director. Poli revolutionized glass design by introducing new techniques such as submerged glass, which is characterized by overlapping layers of differently colored glass. His creations, which range from functional design to decorative art, have won international recognition, including the prestigious Grand Prix at the 1951 Venice Biennale. Seguso Glassworks, founded in 1933 on the island of Murano, is still synonymous with excellence in art glass making. His works combine centuries-old tradition and innovation, establishing themselves as timeless masterpieces. less
