Description: This is a handsome large antique chest of drawers which dates to the Biedermeier period, an elegant piece which will … more This is a handsome large antique chest of drawers which dates to the Biedermeier period, an elegant piece which will make a statement in any room.

This tall 'semainier' chest of seven drawers is a quality piece which is in superb condition for its age. Made of mahogany, with attractive book matched flame mahogany veneers, the chest will provide a good amount of storage in any home.

The chest is fairly tall but has the benefit of splitting into three sections, making it easy to transport and position in any room.

The front is fitted with seven lockable oak lined drawers which are finished with brass escutcheons. The drawers run well and the interiors are in clean condition.

The chest is set on decorative scrolled feet and the wood has a French polished finish which has a nice sheen.

CONDITION

The chest is in solid structural condition with minor cosmetic marks of age and use.

The drawers interiors are in clean condition, there are some slight gaps near the fronts where the bases meet the drawer fronts.

Height - 159cms

Width - 99cms at the top, 105cms at the base

Depth - 54cms

The measurements are taken at the widest points and the chest splits into three parts for easy transportation. less
