During this time, she created almost 300 pieces of furniture, including icons such as the ax chair or the drawn chair. Her work was influential in the danish modern movement and is now in great demand among design enthusiasts. Her designs are shown in museums such as the museum of modern art in new york and the national gallery melbourne. Hvidt & mølgaard-nielsen were awarded the diplôme d'honneur twice at the milan triennale.
