The wrapping of the legs has been restored as have most of the curlicues. You can see this in the photos. Whomever did it did a good job. The screws connecting the iron adjustable base to the bottom of the seat have also been replaced. Bottom line this is a rare item with restoration which is acceptable. less

Piece … more Rare antique Victorian wicker piano or vanity stool by Heywood Bros & Co of Gardner, Ma late 19th century. Piece is in its original natural finish. I cant read the model number on the label. This stool twist up and down like a typical old piano stool does. This would work at a counter or even as a stool for a musician or at a vanity or I'm sure you can think of many uses. I've owned hundreds upon hundreds of pieces of antique wicker over the years and this is the second one of these I've owned. I may have seen one other. The top of the stool from the seat up is in very nice original condition including the finish. The base has had some restoration. The wrapping of the legs has been restored as have most of the curlicues. You can see this in the photos. Whomever did it did a good job. The screws connecting the iron adjustable base to the bottom of the seat have also been replaced. Bottom line this is a rare item with restoration which is acceptable. Stool stands 44" tall and is 19" wide and 21 1/4" deep. The seat when in the lowest position is 20". Not sure of the adjustment but I would imagine 3" to 4". less
