The only real issue is if you look at the bottom of the right leg just above the brass cap you will see there is about 1 1/2" of wrapping missing on the leg. Otherwise I think the chair is in excellent condition for being 125 + years old. Chair was never abused. Chair was made 1898-1910. This is a great example which fits with antiques as well as it would be a terrific accent in a modern setting. less

This is one of the finest antique Victorian wicker armchairs I've … more Outstanding Heywood Bros & Wakefield Ladies armchair model 6068A. This is one of the finest antique Victorian wicker armchairs I've ever owned and I've owned hundreds of pieces of wicker. Another example of this model is shown on page 63 of the book, American Wicker Woven Furniture from 1850 to 1930 by Jeremy Adamson 1993 to go along with the exhibition "American Wicker" at the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art , Washington DC., April 2-August1, 1993. My example retains its original natural factory finish.
