robert haussmann, a swiss architect, designed the seat as a tribute to his idol mies van der rohe. Similarities can be drawn between the famous barcelona seat and the rh301. For example, the frame is made of hard steel with a high-gloss chrome finish. The webbing that supports the cushions is also made of heavy harness leather. The separate cushions for the back and seat are upholstered with piping and high-quality leather, including the buttons.

the design of the rh-301 was awarded the ' compasso d'oro ' distinction. This is the most prestigious design award from italy after an idea by gio ponti. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
