Whilst the design and form of this Georgian chest is relatively typical for the period it was made, the diminutive, compact proportions are quite unusual.

It also retains a good colour and surface throughout and remains in good condition with very little restoration, or damage of consequence to speak of. The retention of its original brass handles and its original bracket feet is another indicator of how well loved and cherished this item has been throughout the years of its life.
