Description: Large old pine monastery table from Belgium, around 1950. The pine table top has been resanded, stained and varnished with … more Large old pine monastery table from Belgium, around 1950. The pine table top has been resanded, stained and varnished with two layers of matte varnish. The base has been cleaned, restored where necessary and provided with a layer of wax. On the side of the drawers there is an extra leg in the middle to support this side. The other long side does not have this as can be seen in the photos. The legroom between the floor and the bottom edge of the table has a height of 61.5 cm. This table was probably used in a monastery where children attended boarding school. There are some names and texts here and there in the drawers and on the side. A beautiful large specimen that will not look out of place in a large kitchen, dining room, cafe or restaurant. less
