At first glance it appears French Louis XVI or Directoire, but it's actually Swedish in the Gustavian manner. King Gustav "stole" design cues from the French and made subtle changes. This is one of the sweeter commodes we have. It's sophisticated and quite graceful in design with wonderfully pleasant distressing. Dates to the 1920s era and is in good condition with distressing.
