Vintage falcon / hawk sculpture carved from a light-weight, hollowed-out tree trunk remnant. The wood has been richly stained to resemble more of a mahogany, ironwood or cocobolo. However, evidence of.the actual material employed is revealed in the crown of the bird's head where the uneven, raw wood can be better detected.
