Simplified shapes are accentuated creating an overall painterly feel. The elements of art are informative and rich with detail. In essence, this is a very thoughtful composition with an emphasis on theme and color.

The color palette is masterfully layered with pink, yellow and orange.

Confident brush work showcases a level of excellence, skill and an emotional connection to this scene.

The Renaissance period, Classicism and Cubism are primary references for my work. I always begin in the representational and let the work evolve into the abstract or remain representational. Although divergent in process, my work at its core remains connected to the inspirations from which they were conceived. The subject matter whether portraiture, figurative, still life or landscape are important. And yet, the true subject and passion always lies in balance, symmetry, structure, shapes and spacial relationships.
