The enamel portrait is flush with the medallion, beautifully painted with exquisite line detail. The gold medallion is bezel set into the ring, with a bright cut hand engraved zig-zag pattern around the bezel. The ring has a very pretty carriage with scallops around the underside of the ring.

The ring weighs 5.7 grams. The face of the ring measures 3/4” and the ring carriage sits 1/4” high. The ring is unmarked but acid tests as 14k gold. Circa 1880-1890.
