- A fine English oak Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750. The chest has a molded flat top over two short drawers, … more A fine English oak Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750. The chest has a molded flat top over two short drawers, over three long graduated drawers. The base has three small drawers and straight legs with pad feet. The brasses are of the period, though there is evidence of one other set having been on the chest. It has an old finish with good patination. Secondary woods are oak and pine or fir. There is one older replaced board on the back and some newer structural supports on the base as well as one newer drawer runner. The highboy is 61 1/4" high by 37" wide by 21" deep.
