A colorful pair of weighted brass polychromed bookends in the form of a bearded man in a room wearing a … more A colorful pair of weighted brass polychromed bookends in the form of a bearded man in a room wearing a cap, reminiscent of a character out of Harry Potter, seated on library steps reading a book with bookshelves behind him filled with colorful books. One of the bookends still retains an original price tag on the back indicating they were purchased at Hudson's Department Store in Detroit. Hudson's was a famous store catering to the wealthy in Detroit in the 50's and 60's and went out of business in 1969. There is some tarnish on them and very minor paint loss on one, but given their age, they are in remarkably good condition, still colorful and vibrant. They are quite heavy. No maker's mark is present. These will give any library an old world feel. less
