This is a House of Webster biscuit jar or maybe a very large sugar bowl in pattern number HWE1. I do not have a date for this pattern. This is a small cannister or large sugar bowl with a possibly matching lid. While the lid seems to match, it doesn’t always fit correctly and shows a thin line of open space between the jar and the lid. The color and the trim color match, it just doesn’t seem to fit perfectly.
The jar measures 5.00 inches across with a 4.50 inch rim. It is 4.75 inches tall and 6.75 inches tall to the top of the handle.
The jar has no damage-no chips, cracks, crazing, or gold wear. The shaping is lovely, and it has a simple pink and white floral design on the front and back. It is marked made in Plano Texas. less
