A museum piece, this kitchen unit by Charlotte Perriand, designed to equip the apartments of the Arcs 1800 ski resort, a project to which she devoted nearly 20 years of her life.
The prefabricated kitchen is designed to be connected directly on site. It has lighting, four hotplates, space for a dishwasher and a small refrigerator. It is made of a polyester shell reinforced with glass fibers and stainless steel.
The particularity of this rare example is that it was designed in two parts, to facilitate access to the upper floors of the Arcs buildings.
Exhibited at the Center Pompidou in Paris, it was also visible during the 2019 Vuitton Foundation exhibition “Le Monde Nouveau de Charlotte Perriand”.
