Meet fleur, a rare and distinctive one-of-a-kind table lamp exquisitely handcrafted by amitābha studio from a vintage zenith delft green vase, created between 1935 and 1960. Produced by plateelbakkerij zenith in gouda, the netherlands, this vase comes from a prestigious pottery factory renowned for its artistry and craftsmanship in delftware during its operation from 1919 to 1984.
delft green is an exceptionally rare and highly coveted style of pottery, distinct from the traditional blue delft, making fleur a truly unique collector’s item. The vase is adorned with lush green floral motifs, intricately hand-painted to showcase zenith’s dedication to timeless design and meticulous craftsmanship.
lovingly transformed into a table lamp, fleur was meticulously assembled without altering or damaging the original vase in any way, preserving its historical value and authenticity. Custom-cut brass hardware was crafted to perfectly fit the vase base, and a matching green electrical cord was added to harmonize with the overall design. Paired with a custom slate blue linen lampshade, handmade in an amsterdam atelier, the contemporary shade enhances the vintage charm of the vase while adding a sophisticated touch.
