Beautiful large grandfather clock (also called grandfather clock), in excellent working condition, with orientalizing decorations, and two different chiming tones.
Clock from the Portuguese watchmaking company founded in 1892, “Reguladora”, the oldest watch factory in the Iberian Peninsula.
Grandfather clock manufactured in the mid-20th century, very decorative and in excellent condition of operation and conservation. Made of solid ebonized wood. The solid wood is of high quality and in excellent condition, with a coat of hand-made black enamel paint.
It works with three striking drums and its manual winding key. It has two melodies or chimes, one from the Westminster carillon and the other from the Ave María de Fátima, regulated from the dial using a needle. The clock face is in excellent condition, in hand-carved bronze, in its upper part it has the chime needle, regulator, the combined Roman and Arabic numerals, and the name of the manufacturer, in its lower part, also on the same dial, the dial is protected with a thick, beveled glass door, the clock hands have a black rococo design. On the front of the clock, it has a door to access the pendulum, made of hand-painted solid wood, with typical Chinese landscapes, in golden and reddish tones on a black background, called Chinoiseries.
This is a wonderful hall clock, elegant and with a classic design, ideal for adding value to your home and for enjoying the charm of the craftsmanship and know-how of one of the oldest watchmakers in Europe. This piece has an attribution mark,
