Carlo scarpa sarpi table for cassina. Carlo scarpa designed this design table in 1974, successor to the popular doge, with which it appears in the ultrarazionale collection. While alluding to the features of its predecessor, this glass and metal table reveals a new, upside-down base and smaller footprint that make it a good fit in different-sized spaces, from spacious parlors to the most diminutive living rooms. In addition to the octagonal top and to versions of the table with rectangular, square and round top, in 2009 the author also introduced the elistella version with a rounded shape designed for the spiral base of the bernoulli. Frame drawn brushed metal. Top glass with beveled and polished sides and rounded edges. Detail burnished exposed fasteners carlo scarpa designed this masterpiece of a table in 1974, as a successor to the doge, which is included in the collection known as ultrarazionale. While citing some of the same material characteristics as its predecessor, the base of the sarpi is up-ended compared to the doge, while the entire piece is smaller so it can fit into smaller spaces. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
