1st edition counter balance ceiling lamp designed by J.J.M. Hoogervorst in the 1950s for Anvia.
The lamp balances in any wanted position by changing the weight at the back as you can screw this back and forth at the end of the arm which creates the balance of this lamp. An ingenious system by one of the best lighting manufacturers from the Netherlands of their era
The arms (vertical and horizontal) and the cylindric top above the shade are repainted in off white, like it was originally. The aluminum shade and the steel weight are in dark grey and still original.
Functional and elegant lamp, that combines minimalist aesthetics with practical use.
The lamp is in very good condition. No dents on the shade, just a few tiny darker spots. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
