An artist … more The "Calin" pillow adjustable armchair/recliner and ottoman were designed by Pascal Mourgue for Cinna/ Ligne Roset in 1994. An artist more than a designer, Pascal Mourgue first sculpted some pouffs in the sand before taking the "Calin" armchair into production. It resulted in a chair at the level of comfort as a pillow, on the principle of a folded and reclining pillow. The structure allows an inclination in three positions - you can easily sleep in it as it goes down flat and can function as a twin bed, with plenty of room for 2 normal sized individuals to share. The padding is made of high-density polyurethane foam. The covers are removable and can be easily washed in the washing machine. The base is made of steel epoxy finish aluminum. Made in France. Manufacturer label and country of manufacture present on side of chair.

We are selling an armchair and matching ottoman upholstered in warm, mocha chocolate brown cotton-y upholstery - this year, brown has been chosen as the new black by interior designers and is seen everywhere from runways to chic interiors. We bought this new with tags very recently from a collector who worked as a photographer for Ligne Roset during the 80's/90's - and this set was brand new in climate controlled storage (perhaps models were photographed in it, but nothing more than that). Once we renovated and moved the furniture in, we realized we don't need this piece. It has been sitting in one of our upstairs rooms completely unused and is in BRAND NEW condition with NO SIGNS of any use (non-smoking, pet-free home, clean/renovated home without scents or smells or perfume, etc.).

Highly collectible rarity in gorgeous dark moody brown. I have not ever seen this sold on resale sites in NEW condition. But even used (with marks/scuffs and other wear), a complete set often sells out. less
