Only the gimp … moreAs stated above the upholstery could be replaced, however the fabric is free of tears and stains. Only the gimp trim is raveled in spots. The wood frames are strong and have very minor wear. The caned backs have wear in the finish which, does not detract from their looks. Only one has a weak spot that we found . It is not broken through or a hole, rather a couple of strands of the caning are snapped making a weak spot. This was not noticed until very careful examination. Please check all pictures as we have tried to show any flaws. less

From the quality furniture maker, Kindel in Grand Rapids, this set of six dining chairs matches the dining table also offered in this shop. The set includes 2 armchairs and 4 side chairs. The cabriole legs are echoed by curved aprons and arms. The caned backs are classic. The upholstered seats are in fair shape and usable, however these beautiful chairs could benefit from some updated fabric.
The finish is original and a dark walnut color.
These chairs are very well built and will easily serve another generation.
The matching table and accessories are listed separately.
The makers tag was removed by an upholsterer. less
