A rare early 19th century Tunbridgeware rosewood sewing box with hoop handle, the lid with tiny carved knob is decorated in the striking Van Dyke pattern, the sides in bold rosewood veneers, mounted on turned turnip shaped feet. When the lid is removed, the inside reveals a blue paper lining.
