- Fresh from a New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Louis XV / XVI … more Fresh from a New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Louis XV / XVI Transitional Style Gilt Bronze Mounted & Parquetry Inlaid Lady Desk. Fine quality, first half of 20th century made, standing on four long tall Louis XV style curved legs, ending in quality bronze sabot mounts. Top has two levels, a display surface with pierced bronze gallery holding down the marble on the top, and one drawer with a cubby hole above the green leather writing surface. Below that is a large nicely dovetailed drawer with a lock and key. Condition is good, shows light age / use wear, mostly on leather (please see photos). Size is great for any room in your house or apartment at 36.5" tall to top, 18.5" wide, 14.5" deep, while the desk writing surface is 28.25" height. Great piece for use with million dollar looks that will mesh with traditional or mid-century setting! less
