The border of the base is in relief and abound with flowers and birds while the pen rest has a quaint village scene. The glass pieces are blown and cut to resemble the hand-hammered metal so popular at the time. The ink pots are collared in brass and have thick round ground bases to fit perfectly into their base. There is one edge flake (pictured) on the edge of the stamp holder.
