Four bronze sculptures depicting the various stages of glass processing.

The statues depict an ancient craft which, thanks to Venice and its glass, gives prestige to Italy in the world, for its great quality and synonymous with luxury.

The first depicts a man carrying glass sheets on his shoulders;

The second is the beginning of mouth-blowing glass;

The third is the enlargement of the glass that is blown;

The fourth and last depicts a woman carrying glass cylinders ready to be marketed.

The art of glass blowing has distant origins dating back to the 1st century BC. and involves inflating the molten glass with the help of a rod.

Unfortunately, the 4 works do not bear signatures and can be placed as productions in the second half of the 20th century.

All four are in excellent state of conservation, without defects, they may have a slight patina. See less
