An artistic, carved wall screen, openwork Chinese Jumu Panel with lotus blossoms, ducks, auspicious motifs and scrolls carved in camphor … more An artistic, carved wall screen, openwork Chinese Jumu Panel with lotus blossoms, ducks, auspicious motifs and scrolls carved in camphor wood, all surrounded by a geometric border and the Eight Daoist Emblems. A pair of geometric ruyi shaped hooks at the top of the screen for hanging.
Provenance: A private collection in Nagasaki-Japan. Nagasaki has the largest Chinese community in Japan.
Date: Early 20th century (1920-1940s) in the style of Qing dynasty.
Dimensions: 30 3/4 inches x 30 3/4 inches (78 cm x 78 cm). Depth 1 5/8 inches (4 cm).
Condition: very good for age. Wear consistent with age and use. With some minor scuffing to the edges. Please inquire.
