These type of lighting devices, often referred to as “girondoles” were popular from the mid to late 19th century. Typically, they were placed on mantles and came in three or even five arm configurations. This charming pair features a motif depicting two children playing in a garden.. They would have originally had hanging glass prisms that could be replaced if a little extra sparkle is desired.
