We are delighted to welcome this impossibly rare set of four teak and rosewood armchairs into our collection. Designed by Erik Andersen and Palle Pedersen for Randers Møbelfabrik, these chairs were imported to the US by Moreddi in the 1960s and remained with the original owner until we acquired them.
The backs feature mind-bending curves with rosewood inlay, Andersen & Pedersen’s signature flourish. The color and grain patterns are equally striking, reminiscent of the eroded sandstone formations found in slot canyons.
This set has been restored to showroom condition. The frames were refinished without stain and sealed with clear satin lacquer, maximizing the natural contrast between the teak and the rosewood inlay. The seats have been fully reupholstered, wrapped in textured black leather.
