Rare Whitefriars model 9437 studio glass bud vase in "Twilight" gray. Search the internet, you won't find this limited piece by the British glass maker. Created in the 1960s, the Scandinavian inspired vase had a limited production run. Whitefriars furnaces have been burning since 1680. The works were established by a monastery of Carmelite Fathers. Their white habits inspired the townspeople to call them white friars. The vase represents a time when ancient tradition met modern ideals. Time honored craft and a new approach to design exist here in a beautiful union.
