I've been exploring the theme of botanicals for several years now. I'm not interested in a rendering that is perfect but rather awkward, irregular, out of the ordinary yet curious and recognizable. Staying with this theme, I'm experimenting with stencils, both positive and negative, applied and removed.
This is oil paint and oil sticks on board. The sides are currently unpainted. It does not need an additional frame unless one is desired. less
