Description: Northern European chest of drawers with secretaire desk veneered in blond wood from the second half of the century. XIX, … more Northern European chest of drawers with secretaire desk veneered in blond wood from the second half of the century. XIX, of Biedermeier influence, the piece of furniture has a rectangular wooden top with bevelled front corners, profiled by an applied shaped frame, the same pattern is repeated in the parallelepiped trunk with frontal uprights also bevelled, the rectangular front with 4 equal drawers divided by shaped crosspieces.
The first drawer that opens with a flap conceals an architectural cabinet with a moving central part ending in an arch on which walls develop laterally made up of 6 in-line and 4 shaped pullers of different sizes.
The interiors are natural with moire green fabric covering supported on removable cardboard.
The structure rests on 4 plinth feet, the front ones beveled at the front and follow the line of the front posts.
Main essences: solid and veneered birch on a Nordic conifer frame.
Later brass fittings in Empire style. less
