The … more On offer is this set of three Atelier Cerenne mid century decorative plates. Each feature a different woman posing. The plates have curved, scalloped edges in a leaf/floral design. They feature holes at the top for hanging. The center areas are shiny black with engraved figures. The outer area has an antiqued glaze appearance. Each has the name of the workshop on the back. The artist's name is on 2 of the 3 pieces, but I'm unable to decipher it. Made in Vallauris, France between 1945 and 1958. In excellent vintage condition with no issues to note.

Each piece measures approximately: 8.5” x 7.5” wide x 1.5” high.

The Cerenne Workshop was a ceramic creation studio active in Vallauris between 1945 and 1958. Founded by Charles René Neveux, it derived its name from the contraction of its business name "Céramique René Neveux." At its peak, the workshop was one of Vallauris's largest, employing around fifty people, including fifteen decorators. Its production ranged from utility ceramics to unique pieces, fulfilling special orders for both French and international clients. less
