Oña has extensive experience painting human figure, especially portraits.
His work has since crossed multiple mediums within art, including drawing, ink, charcoal, collages, pastel, airbrush, linen, watercolors, acrylic, and oil painting.
While living in Berlin, he explored contemporary surrealism in his artwork, eventually breaking the standard rules of realism. This led to what today is one of his signatures- capturing the world of a human being through a combination of realism and modernism. His art aims to establish an exchange between viewers and the larger universe around them, utilizing a site-specific approach to figurative people, culture and history.
