Two large amazing hand painted Satsuma vases. On one side of the vase we see a battle between two samurai, and on the other a sage.The hand painted details will keep you busy for hours just looking at each one and you really have to see them in person and feel the brushstrokes to truely appreciate the time and detail that went into each piece.
Date: Meiji period, around 1890-1900

Condition: Good antique condition, One vase has a chip on the neck, the second vase has traces of a glued chip. Some crazing to the glaze surface which is consistent with age and happens to all pieces from this time period.
