The atmosphere, the energy of the moment or the background music are crucial. When I am satisfied with the result, the wood panel artwork is then sealed with an encaustic process. This technique, thousands of years old, uses pure beeswax and natural damar resin spread over multiple layers, creating multiple levels of translucency throughout the work exposing raw particles and dust of charcoal suspended over time.
