19th Century Oriental Style Delft Vase with Lid is a splendid example of Western European porcelain makers trying to keep up with the craze for Oriental Fine China that started in the 18th Century and continues until this day! This example, rendered by the master artisans of Delft, features hand-painted adornment with a proprietary glaze that has kept the colors vibrant after over a century. The intricate patterns in the framework create scenery vignettes that provide a different view as one rotates the vessel, allowing one to make subtle changes to one's decor by simple rotating. Survives with its original lid, making it useful as an urn or vase.
