Antique and uncommon carved and hand-painted alabaster cherries set into a special carved onyx bowl that displays them perfectly. We've never seen a bowl like this. It does not have a flat base, but is stable regardless. It does wiggle and spin if induced, though.
The cherries are hand-painted in such an absolutely convincing manner and have little curved and twisted metal stems to give them a quite lifelike appearance.
