Very charming original pair of antique Staffordshire recumbent lions on striped rectangular plinths.
These rare antique figurines are highly sought after by discerning collectors, a wonderful gift idea for any lover of antiques.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Have signs of wear and crazing. The glaze has irregularities in smoothness, but it is not visibly discernible.
Staffordshire figures are a type of popular pottery figurine made in England from the 18th century onwards. Most Staffordshire figures made from 1740 to 1900 were produced by small potteries and makers' marks are generally absent
