Lithograph on Magnani-Pescia paper. Paper size 60cmx80cm, work size 47cmx68cm. Excellent condition, no defects. Gino Guida - Born in Naples in 1932, died in Zagarolo 2017, He moved with his family to Rome in his early childhood; here he completed his classical studies and graduated from the Art School; he left the Faculty of Architecture to devote himself to comics During the fifties he also entered the field of animation and film scenography until 1957, when he decided to dedicate himself entirely to painting, obtaining a certain success especially in the seventies. In 1960 with Marcello Confetti, Paolo Ganna, Piero Guccione, Carlo Quattrucci, Pino Reggiani, Aldo Turchiaro and Pasquale Verrusio he formed the Roman figurative group "Libertà-Realtà" in reaction to the prevailing "informal"; the first and only exhibition of the group was held in January 1961 at the "Stagni" Gallery in Rome. The group's critic was Antonio Del Guercio. In 1965 he held his first solo exhibition at the Galleria "Il Girasole", where works were exhibited that were even more imbued with light: a white, bright, omnivorous light, different from the previous ones, more material and expressionist. Introducing him in the catalogue, Vespignani, to whom he would become a lasting friend, highlighted his main originality in the abstract, metaphysical light, intertwined with wonder, mystery, timelessness. He held over 60 solo exhibitions and participated in the main artistic events in Italy and abroad. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
