Standing nearly a … Read more A spectacular pair of large table lamps designed and manufactured by the rembrandt lamp company of chicago. Standing nearly a metre tall, these impressive and super glamorous lamps with dark green velvet drum shades, are classic american mid-century modern, and would have been the height of sophistication in postwar america.
the base and stem are made from brass, with an organically shaped cast metal black sculpture suspended in the middle. On top sits the original opaline glass diffuser, on top of which the lampshade sits, culminating in a pointed brass finial. Both lamps retain their maker’s label ‘rembrandt lamps masterpieces’.
the lamps have been cleaned and polished and professionally rewired to 240v uk spec, with antique brown three core braided cable, and a new pull-chain bulb holder. New green velvet shades included.
